IIT Joint Entrance Board have decided on implementing OBC Reservation in the existing IIT institutions of about 9% in 2008 with a target of achieving 27% by 2010. The Board consisted of seven IIT institutions, Ministry of HRD, and other key institution representatives.

NOTICE FOR PRE MEDICAL ENTRANCE EXAMINATION (PMEE-2009)

In continuation to our earlier advertisement published on 8th February 2009 in various newspapers. It is to inform all the concerned that due to some avoidable circumstances date of entrance examination for PMEE-2009 for admission into Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) course conducted by Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences have been proponed to 29th May  2009 (i.e. Friday) instead of 30th May 2009 (i.e. Saturday) as notified earlier.

Last date for sale & submission of application form has been extended to 20th April 2009. All the other terms & conditions will remain the same. If any candidate wants to withdraw the previously deposited application form due to change in date, can do so by sending a request with valid reason to the controller of Examination within 15 days of appearance with this notification in newspapers.
